Adding devices in Duo
Duo mobile app
To add a device to your Duo account, you can log into 2fa.ndus.edu where you will be presented with your current devices and the choice to add a device.
You will need to click the Add a device button bringing up the device options prompt.
After click the Duo Mobile option, you will be prompted to add a phone number. If you are using a tablet, you will click that choice and go straight to downloading the Duo Mobile app for your tablet shown further on.
Once you enter your number, you will be prompted to confirm the number entered.
Once you confirm your number, you will be prompted to either send a passcode to your phone or call your phone.
Depending on your choice, either a passcode will be texted to you or you will receive a phone call to confirm your number. If you choose to send a passcode you will be prompted to enter the code you receive
Once the code is verified, you will be prompted to download the Duo Mobile app to your mobile device.
Next you will be prompted to either scan the QR code with your mobile device to start the download or you can choose to have an activation link sent to an email address you enter and open the link from your email instead.
After you use one of the methods to open the activation link and install the Duo Mobile app on your device, you will be prompted with a success prompt.
Once completed, you will be prompted with the choice to either add other available options to your Duo account (we recommend adding Windows Hello or Mac OS Touch ID as backups) or you can skip this step and complete your Duo account setup.
